Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED for K-12 Schools

The American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course for K–12 Schools provides hands-on CPR, AED, and first aid training specifically designed for school environments. This course is ideal for coaches, physical education teachers, athletic staff, teachers, school employees, childcare professionals, and other K–12 personnel who need CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Participants learn how to respond confidently to emergencies involving students, athletes, staff, and visitors—whether they occur in the classroom, gym, athletic field, playground, or during school activities.

• Adult, Child & Infant CPR – Hands-on practice performing high-quality CPR.
• AED Training – How to safely and effectively use an automated external defibrillator (AED).
• Choking Emergencies – How to recognize and respond to choking in adults, children, and infants.
• First Aid for Schools & Athletics – Responding to bleeding, injuries, burns, fractures, and other common school and sports-related emergencies.
• Severe Allergic Reactions – Recognition of anaphylaxis and use of an epinephrine auto-injector (EpiPen).
• Asthma & Breathing Emergencies – Recognizing and responding to breathing-related emergencies.
• Heat-Related Emergencies – Recognition and first aid for heat exhaustion and other heat-related conditions.
• Emergency Scene Safety – How to quickly assess an emergency and take appropriate action while protecting students, athletes, and staff.
