We specialize in teaching: 100% in-person, hands-on, next-level CPR classes but also offer Online options. Large and Small Group Classes Small Group classes are offered at one of our wonderful Staten Island CPR Training Locations, which are all convenient mid-island locations. Small Group classes can take place at our Home Office on Staten Island. We host classes at great venues on both the North and South Shore of Staten Island. We can also travel to your office, school, home, or location. We specialize in teaching CPR Certification classes for Corporations, Healthcare Providers, Nursing & Medical Students, and ALL professionals that require certification for work/employment. We also teach basic CPR AED, & First Aid Certification Classes to lay rescuers. These classes are Fun, very in-depth, with plenty of hands-on practice. Owner / Lead CPR Instructor: Joe Perazzo is a licensed teacher, NYS Certified EMT, and Instructor Trainer for the American Heart Association. He has over 22 years of experience teaching CPR, BLS, First Aid, and EMT Skills classes at the High School level. During the pandemic, to enhance his credentials, learn something new and give back to the community, Joe attended EMT School and earned his NYS EMT Certification. This experience included extensive hands-on coursework, clinical hours on a 9-1-1 NYC ambulance in Red Hook-Brooklyn, and Real-Life experience performing CPR and Emergency Care. This rewarding experience has propelled the training offered to the Next Level. Several of Joe's students have performed the learned skills in real emergencies and have really made a difference by saving someone's life. Just recently, one of Joe's students shared a story that he performed the Heimlich maneuver effectively on a choking victim and saved his life. Joe's goal is to certify & teach these life-saving skills to as many people as possible, resulting in more lives saved. To make that goal a reality, he offers the highest quality training at affordable rates. The classes are fun, interactive, engaging, and a positive learning experience. Having performed CPR, the Heimlich Maneuver, and using an AED in real life-saving situations, Joe strongly believes in and is very passionate about what he does. First Responder / Instructor: Paul Medordi is a recently retired FDNY member with 24 years of experience as an Emergency First Responder. He has responded to hundreds of CPR and medical emergencies in New York City. Paul has received numerous citations for performing successful CPR and saving numerous lives. Paul has been an amazing addition to our staff at Master the Skills CPR and made a positive impact from day one. With his experience, patience, professionalism, and sense of humor, he adds tremendous value to our BLS Provider, CPR AED, and First Aid Classes.
Assistant Instructor: Joseph Perazzo Jr. is our assistant instructor. He is a certified BLS Provider who is also certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid. Joseph fell in love with the practical hands-on training, the skills tests, the written exam, and the idea of getting certified. After acing his very first AHA CPR Certification class back in 2020, he became highly interested in assisting with teaching these classes. In some of our classes, Joseph will assist with skills demonstrations, provide feedback for practical skills and help the class run smoothly. He is one of New York States' finest distance runners, boasting a 4:14 mile. Joe's enthusiasm and insight really enhance and add value to our classes. It's always great to have him on hand to assist and he also believes in and is passionate about teaching life-saving skills to as many people as possible. Joseph knows that this will result in more people taking action and more lives will be saved.
